I never imagined a career in real estate or mortgages, but in 2004, I unexpectedly entered the mortgage world. Despite initial reluctance, I was captivated by the human connection and the joy of helping clients achieve their dreams. I quickly realized the business was about solving unique challenges and embraced this new path, generating business through referrals and enjoying my growth in the industry.
The 2007 global financial crisis severely impacted the mortgage landscape, causing many to leave. However, amidst the chaos and a drastic drop in income, I chose to double down. I dedicated myself to mastering sales techniques, personal development, and emotional resilience, even creating my first ‘dream board’ and starting to journal, determined to shape my future.
Against all odds, 2009 became a high point, and I achieved my best year to date while many others were struggling. This upward trajectory continued for five years, leading me to become a top-producing loan officer and a national sales leader. This success, driven by strategic planning and personal improvement, is why I’m sharing this journal, hoping it inspires your own journey of self-discovery and success.
